AML Compliance Program Implementation

Documentation alone is not compliance. We embed your program into the systems, workflows, and daily behaviour that make it a real control.

⚙️ Program Implementation Implement Your Program

The most common examination finding is not the absence of a policy. It is the distance between the policy and what the business actually does. A program that exists only as a document is a program that will fail testing, because testing samples the work, not the manual.

Our implementation service closes that distance. We work alongside your team to operationalise every element of the program: selecting and onboarding compliance technology, configuring KYC and monitoring workflows, building the in-house tools and checklists your staff will actually use, and running the rollout across the organisation.

We are vendor-neutral. Our role is to make sure the tooling you buy fits your risk profile and your volumes, that it is configured against your risk assessment rather than the vendor defaults, and that the people operating it understand why each control exists.

What the engagement includes

  • Gap analysis between documented program and current operations
  • Compliance technology vendor assessment, selection, and onboarding support
  • KYC and onboarding workflow design and system configuration advice
  • Transaction monitoring rule design, threshold setting, and tuning guidance
  • Sanctions and PEP screening configuration and false-positive reduction
  • Case management and STR workflow build-out
  • In-house compliance tools, checklists, and registers where a system is not warranted
  • Staff onboarding and operational training on the new procedures
  • Phased implementation roadmap with milestone tracking
  • Post-implementation review and sign-off
How it works

How the engagement runs

STEP 01

Operational gap analysis

We compare what the program says against what your team actually does today, control by control, and rank the gaps by regulatory exposure.

STEP 02

Tooling and workflow design

Where technology is warranted, we run a structured vendor assessment against your volumes and risk profile. Where it is not, we build the manual controls properly instead of over-buying.

STEP 03

Configuration and calibration

Monitoring rules, screening thresholds, and onboarding logic are configured against your risk assessment, then tuned on real data to control false positives.

STEP 04

Rollout and training

Procedures are rolled out in phases with role-specific operational training, so staff learn the control they own rather than the whole manual.

STEP 05

Post-implementation review

We test the implemented controls the way a reviewer would, confirm they operate as designed, and sign off on what is now live.

FAQ

Compliance Program Implementation: common questions

Development produces the documentation: risk assessment, policies, procedures, training materials. Implementation makes those documents real, through system configuration, workflow design, tooling, and staff rollout. You need both. Entities that stop at development are the ones whose examinations go badly.
No. We are vendor-neutral and take no commission from any provider. Our assessment is based on fit against your risk profile, transaction volumes, and budget. If your volumes do not justify a monitoring platform, we will tell you that and build proportionate manual controls instead.
Yes. Tuning an existing system is one of the most common implementation engagements we run. Most out-of-the-box configurations generate alert volumes no small compliance team can clear, which itself becomes a finding when alerts sit undispositioned.
A straightforward rollout with existing tooling typically runs four to eight weeks. A build that includes vendor selection, configuration, and migration usually runs three to six months, phased so the highest-exposure controls go live first.
Yes, but operational training rather than the annual awareness course. Each role is trained on the specific control it owns and the escalation path attached to it. General AML awareness training is delivered separately under our training service.
